On behalf of my family, and our staff, I'd like to welcome you to Il Forno Classico restaurant.
We have also owned and operated Pizzeria Classico in Historic Folsom since [+]1985.
We are a family owned business that is deeply involved in and supports surrounding communities. Through the years we have donated to countless schools, churches, and organizations. The friendships we have encountered and embraced are priceless. Our current and past employees have had the pleasure to know and help achieve their goals, as they have helped us with our goals. It is our passion and commitment that drive us to constantly improve.
My (owner Scotty Litteral’s) grandfather was in the bar and restaurant business. When my father and mother were very young in the 70s they started a chain of hot dog restaurants in the Bay Area. But all the fun really started when we opened Pennypacker’s Cookie store in The Boatworks Shopping Center in Tahoe City. Since 1981, we have built, opened, and operated 14 restaurants.
We have had the fortune of expanding Il Forno Classico two times in the more than two decades at our location in Gold River, including the addition of a private dining room and wine room and shop. Besides a fully stocked bar we have a wine store that houses about 600 different wine labels. We offer very competitive pricing on wines to take home and some of the best wine pricing in restaurants, period. Show us a restaurant wine list with a better price for the same wine and vintage and we will match it.
Year after year we have attained the Wine Spectator Award for friendly wine pricing.

How it all began....
Morton's actually exists today because of...hamburgers! Years ago, before co-founders Arnie Morton and Klaus Fritsch really knew one another, they both worked at the Playboy Club in Montreal. The club was changing the menu, and Klaus cooked a hamburger that was sent out for Arnie to try. Arnie burst into the kitchen, demanding to know "Who cooked that hamburger?"
When Klaus stepped forward, he wasn't sure if Arnie was going to be pleased or not but was relieved to hear him say that it was the best he'd ever tasted. From that day forward, they called it the "Million-Dollar Hamburger"!
More than 3 decades later....
Morton's has grown to over 74 restaurants, but the vision is the same today as it was when we opened our first restaurant in Chicago in 1978. Quality. Consistency. Genuine Hospitality.
Driven by the desire to provide genuine hospitality–for our guests and our employees–we offer a setting where people truly care about one another, and show it in everything they do. Cafe Eritrea D’Afrique is a popular and renowned ethnic restaurant in North Oakland serving the general public since 1986.
