Stewarts Dining Rooms
Vic Stewarts is
housed in an 1891 Southern Pacific Railroad depot, an historical landmark in Walnut
Creek. Connected to the depot is a 1909 Pullman train car, with an observation
room, stateroom and private drawing rooms. During a complete and meticulously
restoration of the depot and train car, specialists were commissioned from around
the country to restore every detail of brass and interior wood to maintain its
integrity. Woodpaneled walls, a rare 1920s coffered tin ceiling,
antiques, original light fixtures and two fireplaces add to the warmth and ambiance
of the restaurant. In addition to dining in the train car Vic Stewarts offers
three separate dining areas, each with its own distinctive
The
Grill Room The Grill Room offers a warm living room atmosphere with
a fireplace, original oil paintings, bookshelves, dark cherry wood tables and
burgundy leather chairs. Adjacent to the Grill Room is a skylit atrium, allowing
for additional dining guests or a separate reception area. The guest capacity
of the Grill Room is 90 for a dining event.
The Board Room The Board Room was designed to capture all the elegance and atmosphere
of Vic Stewarts restaurant. The hardwood floors, upholstered walls and antique
art collection reflect the time honored classics of such an historical building.
The platform of the beautiful Pullman 1901 train car can be seen through the windows.
This private room can accommodate 20 to 25 dining guests and 30 for a reception.
The Tahoe Room The Tahoe Room brings back the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere of
a 1920s Lake Tahoe estate. The wicker chairs, plaid oversized cushions,
large stone fireplace, pine walls and antiquie collectibles create and aura of
relaxation. The Tahoe Room can accommodate up to 40 dining guests and 50 for a
reception.
The Observation
Room The Observation Room is located in the front end of an authentic
1901 Pullman train car. The velvet curtains, Victorian lamps and rose print rug
create a mood that is truly unique. The Observation Room can accomodate up to
18 guests for
a seated dinner party.
The Stateroom The
Stateroom has the ambiance of a first class cabin on a cross country train. This
cozy private compartment located in the Pullman car seats up to 10 guests for
dinner.
